As an Environment Lighting Artist II, you will collaborate closely with other artists and designers in support of environments and bring a passion lighting for 3D content that meets required direction and quality specifications. If this sounds like you, then we’d love to see your portfolio!

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Creates a variety of 3D content that meets required direction and quality specifications.
  • Creates illustrations, 3D models, and textures for characters, environments, and objects.
  • Creates animations for 3D and 2D assets.
  • Creates visual assets for use in product user interface.
  • Able to work with art leadership to help visualize and develop visual targets.
  • Supports the growth of new or enhanced art development tools and techniques.
  • Utilizes and maintains proficient knowledge of required commercial and Nintendo proprietary art production tools.
  • Guides less experienced members of the team.
  • Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team to ensure delivery of Nintendo’s high standard of quality and timeliness.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 or more years of professional experience in game development.
  • Proven artistic and technical skills in 3D and or 2D art production.
  • Experienced with game development pipelines and game engines (E.g. Unreal, Unity or a proprietary engine)
  • Proven proficiency with commercial art production software (E.g. Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, etc.)
  •  Undergraduate degree in art or related field; or equivalent education and experience.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time. 

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Pay Range:
$73,797$110,695 USD
