Team/Position Summary: The Merchandise Planner plays a key role in driving omni-channel performance for the DTC business by developing and executing category-, subcategory-, and item-level financial plans that support brand strategies and company financial goals. The role owns end-to-end product lifecycle planning, from pre-season planning through in-season Open-to-Buy (OTB) management and end-of-life disposition, using strong financial acumen to analyze trends, manage risk, and optimize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. The planner partners closely with Merchandising and cross-functional teams to guide key financial decisions, manage promotions and liquidation strategies, communicate plan changes, and advance process improvements that increase efficiency and business impact.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Develops and implements inventory control procedures and strategies for all channels of the business, with continuous development of KPI’s.
- Provides analysis of inventory data and trends, import schedules, and contingency planning and identify areas of opportunity and risk.
- Partners with internal teams to form inventory strategy and make recommendations to maximize sales, gross margin, and inventory production.
- Develops initial purchase forecast for all finished goods and relevant product categories.
- Supports business integration of new and scaling sales and operations planning processes for all channels.
- Utilizes PLC (Product Life Cycle) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and partners with product lifecycle teams to ensure readiness for purchase orders and downstream workflows, including Business Intelligence architecture.
- Develops and presents reports and updates on status of business and financial objectives.
- Stay abreast of regulatory and trade impacts to the business between Asia, North, Central and South Americas.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
- Five (5) plus years of related experience in Supply Chain or Inventory/Supply Planning.
- Fundamental understanding of various forecast methodologies both quantitative and qualitative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and influence a variety of audiences including senior leadership.
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skillset in an ambiguous environment.
- Import/Customs experience helpful.
- Strong reporting skills with large sets of data required.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Inventory Management or Planning, or related field or equivalent experience.
- APICS and/or IBF (SCM) certification an advantage.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
