Nintendo of Canada Ltd. (NOCL) is looking for a new National Account Manager to join their Sales team. The Sales team manages customer relationships with Nintendo’s key retail partners, delivering revenue and working cross-functionally to ensure strong brand presence and visibility in the retail environment. The National Account Manager (NAM) will manage direct customer relationships, deliver against sales targets, and identify new opportunities to strengthen market share. Additional responsibilities include planning and executing high-impact product launches, promotions and marketing initiatives at retail. 

Ideal candidates will bring strong commercial acumen, experience negotiating, exceptional relationship‑building and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a high‑pressure environment.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for senior account sales and management activity in Canada with the aim of maximizing sell through and resulting shipment opportunities with each account. Developing a deep understanding of consumer demand drivers at the respective account(s).

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Manages direct account and all aspects surrounding the sale of Nintendo products, including monitoring sell-through and sell-in performance vs. forecast, writing call reports, analyzing and measuring performance and trends, preparing performance and other reports.
  • Leverages business analytics to influence the customer and company decision making at top-to-top levels at Nintendo of Canada Limited (NOCL) and customer.
  • Develops and delivers innovative customer and product-specific recommendations for product placement, pricing, promotion that make sense to customer and NOCL within our Retail Marketing Program/Business Development Fund (RMP/BDF) guidelines and develops and manages the RMP forecasts and budgets based on the plans.
  • Sells and negotiates to gain alignment of business strategies that meet NOCL goals.
  • Leads and influences a cross-functional internal team to support customer initiatives and drive business objectives.
  • Visits stores regularly to review consumer product presentations and displays.
  • Establishes and maintains account files.
  • Monitors advertising for competing products.
  • Provides advertising direction to accounts.
  • Analyzes and establishes work processes and priorities.
  • Serves as key go to person on account related issues and opportunities. Assists other departments in accomplishing goals as it relates to the customer.
  • Develop relationships with customer beyond the buyer and buying department to promote issue resolution and become the company expert in all areas of the customer.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Six to eight years of related experience.
  • Strong key account sales experience and skills.
  • High PC skill level (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Undergraduate degree in Business related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

This position is hybrid in Burnaby, BC. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, and paid time off.
